Darren started work at The Foreland School in January 2013.
Darren made a significant contribution to the school in the time he was with us.
He was well respected by staff, pupils and parents and played a significant role in many situations where his people skills proved invaluable in drawing people together.
His warm personality and ability to form good relationships meant that he was able to work very effectively with some parents with whom the school had difficult relationships.
He played a significant role in the senior leadership of the school, and his personal skills and qualities were an important part of the mix of personalities in the senior leadership of the school.
Darren excelled in the pastoral elements of his job, and had overall responsibility for the Lower School, supporting staff, pupils and parents in Foundation Stage and Key Stages 1 and 2. He chaired Annual Review meetings for pupils and attended meetings on behalf of the school involving other disciplines such as Social Services and Health Authority Therapists. He was a Designated Child Protection Co-ordinator, regularly participating in Child In Need and Child Protection Meetings.
We wish him all the best in the future.
